Bitter End-Climate of Fear

In the wake of the not-so recent New York Hardcore craze, Bitter End redifines the meaning of aggressive music with there follow up LP, Climate of Fear. At first listen there is a vast improvement from Bitter End's first efforts on "Mind in Chains." The first track, "Panic" opens with news clips being played on repeat with a driving bass line downplayed in the mix. Everything about this record from the order of the track listing to the approach of the song writing illustrates a more natural responsiveness as opposed to most releases in recent memory. Climate of Fear will serve as one of modern hardcore's most important albums, standing among its predocessors such as; Best Wishes by Cro-Mags and Brightside by Killing Time. With Bitter End's exhaustive tour schedules and high energy live setting, this new release will be sure to gather alot of interest in hardcore today. Climate of Fear will be released on cd September 11, 2007 through Deathwish/Malfuntion records.
