Jesu and Eluvium

With a natural appreciation for eachothers music, Jesu and Eluvium join together to compose a record complimenting their similar musical influences. Justin K Broadrick of Jesu offers a daring change in direction with tracks like, "Blind and Faithless," and "Farewell." At times their are still elements of Godflesh, (without all the hate) but for the most part this new material develops a sound much like the late shoegaze band, Ride. As for Eluvium, the only track "Time-travel of the sloth," gives the listenener a continuation of where Jesu leaves off. Definite brilliancy in the planning and preparations of this record. With 2,000 copies already sold through Temporary Residence, on August 22nd Hydra Head records released their portion of this collaboration. A definite must for fans of minimalism as well as shoegaze influenced bands like Mojave 3, Ride, and Swervedriver.
